We are a West-Yorkshire based charitable company dedicated to providing support and homes to refugees and asylum seekers who find themselves destitute on our streets.
This includes those who have been refused asylum but cannot reasonably return to their country of origin and those given refugee status who have to leave their NASS housing.

With Great Saddness – John Hebden Abigail Housing Founder
At Abigail Housing we were deeply saddened to hear in November last year of the passing of our friend and Founder John Hebden.
John has made a considerable contribution to improving the lives of refugees and people seeking asylum across West Yorkshire. Through setting up Abigail Housing John has helped to prevent homelessness and destitution for almost 1000 people supported at the charity over the past 18 years, seeking sanctuary and building a new life here in the UK.
At Abigail Housing we will continue John’s legacy to create a welcoming environment for all people seeking sanctuary across West Yorkshire and continue preventing homelessness and destitution for asylum seekers and refugees, which John and his wife Anne laid the foundations for us to continue doing, when they set up the charity in 2007.
